…step by step, to get results
Several years ago, Mike William Solutions made its entry into the arena of Coaching, to help clients move forward and effectively carry out the plans we had developed. So, Coaching was offered to boost Consulting, and expand its impact. As a result, business owners, non-profit executives, authors and other independent professionals were able to produce the results they were after.
In its early years as a resource for growing businesses and organizations, Mike Williams Solutions developed its unique, in-depth assessment process. The Consulting effort provided marketing and management strategies, and plans to bring those strategies into reality. And yet, it became clear that clients needed support to take them from strategy into effective execution. At that point, Coaching became a mainstay of Mike Williams Solutions.
Individual Work for Individual Outcomes
Unlike Consulting, which often involves working with teams or groups, Coaching is primarily a one-to-one or small-group process. It is designed to assess strengths and weaknesses, and allow clients to achieve well-defined priorities, goals and objectives. In one-to-one Coaching the focus is on individual achievement, so it focuses on unique aspects of the achiever. Coaching pays particular attention to the strategies, tools and techniques an individual can use to be most effective.
"Several years ago, when I was looking for a new and more fulfilling career path Mike Williams was an invaluable resource. Mike’s unique abilities challenged me to focus and prioritize my skills, which ultimately allowed me to define my expertise and enhance my marketability."

Coaching for small groups is also available at Mike Williams Solutions. In small-group Coaching, the dynamics of assessment and individualized planning are applied in a group setting. Groups varying from 3 to 8 people are able to use the Coaching process to maximize their success. The group dynamic adds some positive features, especially where there is a compatibility of interests and objectives, and small-group Coaching is provided at a lower cost per person, per session. On the other hand, small-group Coaching, does not offer the private, individual attention provided in a one-to-one program.
How Coaching Works
Coaching at Mike Williams Solutions begins with a unique, in-depth Assessment, utilizing self-inquiry materials and an in-depth interview process that explores a wide range of issues, and leads to formation of a strategy for the road ahead.
In small-group Coaching, the interview is replaced by facilitated discussion and hands-on work with the group as a whole. In addition, small-group Coaching requires the client to act as, or to provide, a host-coordinator, to handle logistics, including coordinating schedules, payments and other details.
Just as Coaching begins with an Assessment process, it produces an action plan to reach clearly identified goals, within agreed timeframes. All activities in the Coaching process are geared toward identifying problems and opportunities that lie between where things are, at the beginning, and where the client wants them to be.
One-to-one Coaching at Mike Williams Solutions is typically conducted in 3-hour sessions, except for the initial session, which is usually about 4 hours. Each session, following the initial one, includes a review of actions completed, current status, and actions needed, as well as potential problems and opportunities ahead.
